The kit will have been an option as would suspensions etc etc, so its just a 325i cabby unless its a motorsport which had more of the kit as standard.

I reckon they mean for cars fitted with MTECH springs and dampers rather than standard.ameetgill1 wrote:thanks mate its when i took it for tracking it had two options which where the me technic or just standard cabbi
If you are running anything other than above it would be different again.
Steering could be a grumbly pump, what color is the fluid in the reseviour? It should be a cherryade colour.

i have boge and eibach springs so i suppose it will be different. the fluid was flushed out twice. but it still is a light grey colour.

The colour is definetly wrong, so could be a faulty pump or rack. If your taking it to Pete anyway ask him to check it out.

Steering can also make that noise when power steering fluid levels are low. The cap on the reservoir has a dip stick attached with an indicator of how much should be in there. If its below, then get it topped up, the pump can get knackered when run dry I believe. Also if it is running low on fluid and you've not long changed it, I would check for leaks in the system. Pull back the rubber boots on the steering rack, if fluid pours out from either end, the rack will need replacing. Could then be a good opportunity to upgrade you rack to a faster one..

the rack is fine pete did have a look. there is no leak as the fluid level always remains the same.
i reckon it could be the pump

I doubt it,that's the bit that fits between the bottom of the steering column and the rack.
Tracking, for a road car,is standard across the range, you need a touch(1 or 2 degrees)of toe in,this stabilizes the car on straight bits of road.
