There are loads that fit, none will make a standard car run better, most will make it run worse.DanTheMannn wrote:Heyyyyy

Not going to happen. You've got a premium motor there - it's the peak of is design, so you can't just slap a load of bolt-on bullshit to it and get 10-15% more performance, like you would with a Ford.
A Big Bore Throttle Body, six-branch manifold and a chip might yield 10hp more but only if you do all three together. With that sort of expense, you might as well drop in an M50 or M52 engine.
All of this is covered extensively in the Engine Swap section, as well as the Wiki.

Putting bigger injectors on will just mean that you run rich. The management won't add any extra air to the mix.

Engine management doesn't add air, that's the job of your right foot and the throttle body.
If you can get more air in with a BBTB, then engine management will let larger injectors add more fuel, if its been mapped correctly to suit. Whether or not larger injectors are needed on an M20 with a BBTB is a question for someone with a rolling road and some spare time on their hands.

Nothing proven in terms of actual figures, but I've just put some M50B25 injectors in my 325 - see here:

Back behind an M20, but now I can hear it better.

You are correct in what you say, but the OP didn't mention a BBTB or a new map. He just wanted to add bigger injectors.jmc330i wrote:Engine management doesn't add air, that's the job of your right foot and the throttle body.

No, but with the above posts it seemed to me that the OP might realise that bigger injectors wouldn't be worth fitting unless he fitted other mods as well, as Pete above has done.
