Ok don't ask me how but my alarm fob and spare went through a 60 degree wash after I got new battery's for them
So I'm left with neither one working and a locked alarmed car.
Does any one know of any one who can help with this as I would like to keep the origional alarm on the car.
Thanks in advance

My sport has a serpi star alarm on it.after being in storage the battery went flat.came to it with a fresh battery and all it would do is turn over but not fire.

And as i have no fob to turn it off i went about removing it all together.wiring under the dash is a mess so did some checks and i had no spark.checked at the coil and it wasn't firing.but i saw that the coil had four wires going to it instead of the normal two.saw the two newest wires that followed back to the imobilzior box in the car removed them and put the standard wires back onto the coil.fired first turn of the key

if you can't fix the fob then remove it

Ok thanks for that. I really would like to get a new fob and have it coded to my alarm though but if there is no other way then yes stripping out will be the way forward.

I doubt if the wash has done any damage to most of the electronics in your fobs. Maybe messed up the push switch and the trimmer capacitor?
Open them up, give the circuit boards a good long soak in clean warm water, stirring it around from time to time, then rinse, thoroughly dry them out and try them again.

Do these remotes have a red light on them that lights when you push the button? If so, does the one on the non working remote light?

Yes both are two button with one led. The light still works on the failing unit.

Pity! If the light didn't work it would probably have been a relatively easy fix of replacing the switch.
