hiya
just wondering what peoples experiences are with the 318is gearbox/3.64 diff vs 328i gearbox/3.25 or 3.15 diffs
Which one is better, more driveable etc etc
m52 conversions - which gearbox drives better

The later gearbox is the better one, but the diff. ratio needs to be taller than 3.25 or 3.15 to match the 3.64.
2.95 is the direct top equivalent of 3.64 with the E30 overdrive box. 3.25 with the later box equates to 4.01 on the E30 one.

The 328i gearbox is the top choice for smoothnes and powerhandling.
