I've seen my fair share of IS's and have never seen a large toolkit on one.

iS only came with small kits.

Touring came with standard tools in a tool roll.

South African cars came with the bigger kits more often than ours.

The original bigger kits were more destined for the e24's and e28's of the range but some found there ways into e30's.

The way to tell an e34 one to an e28 one is that the e34 has just standard tools as per an e30 but in a bigger tray.

The e28 style has 2 sets of spanners, a bigger set of water pump pliers, 2 screwdrivers (red, green or blue handles) and a second pair of normal pliers. The tommy bar was different and there was a 2nd box spaneer as well as the plug socket only smaller.

The E34 tool kit and tray fits perfectly into the boot mounts of an E30.
