Next weekend I'm planning to put my front arch off my 316i onto my mtech,
I was talking to a friend who had an e30 a few years back and he said there is a weld near the door hinges holding it on, so it's not just a bolt on bolt off..
Just wondering if anyone has any experience in swapping arches?
What's the easiest way?
Is there actually a weld?

Any help would be appreciated :)

Cheers:)

The wiki page is a good guide. Get the wheels off for easier access, it helps to have an extension for your socket too, to get to the bolts up near the door hinges..

There's a bead of sealant right at the back/top of the wing, exposed when the bonnet is open, that might look like a weld to the ininitiated.

That's just the guide I was looking for, shame the search function isn't as good as the guide!
