Car seems to have developed a problem. On tick over it'll often rev between 500 and 1k revs.
Had a quick look in the throttle body and checked air pipes for leaks but all seemed fine. So I looked at the idle control valve. It didn't seem to make any difference if this was plugged in or not ?
It's got live to it though but how do I tell if its this that's at fault or not. Also, if it is this valve, where should I get one from and roughly how much are they ?
Car is a 1989 325is by the way.
