Yer the front end of the prop is all fitted to the m20 flange mate
The rear end of the rear section is fitted to the diff
Just can't get the two bits in the middle to slot together mate
When I hold them next to each other they look too long
also can't push them both down enough to get them to slot together
Very odd
Am I doing it all wrong !!!

Oh yer of course, all I need to do is remove the diff end, slide together the 2 halfs, bolt up the centre then fit the bolts and nuts at the rear diff end.
All seems obvious now
I slide the collar back on the splines and there is a rubber part round the splines, does this just slide back also?
Thanks Rav , that's another beer I owe you

And get a new centre bearing whilst at it
I have a new guibo already

Right, you're going to have vibration issues, as the props are balanced.
If you didn't mark it yourself, or no marks on either side of the prop when you split it, there's no way of putting it back fully balanced.
It'll need to be balanced before you put it back in the car.

Ha ha.
I'll need to get mine done too, as I bought an E30 M3 one, but it arrived split in two halves.

Where's the video of the start up.
If you read the M30 section, it's a mandatory to put up a video.

Ha ha
I saw something to do with that but thought it be best to fill up with coolant first
And the non-exhaust thing wouldn't go down too well with the old couple next door
Oh sod it , I'll get one up ASAP

Rav dude, look away now...Sorry i failed on 2 accounts, no vid without zaust and no prop balance, i deceided to see how it is when running and then spend the £££ if needed. I'm hiding behind my PC ready to be shot down now !!!
Filled up the box with oil also
She started again first time, sprung into life at 2000rpm, slowly dropped to 1200 then dropped to about 800. Sounded ok, bit tappy so i'll check the valve clearances again.
Exhaust has a few issues, need to mount it at the gearbox and further back to raise it up a bit.
Back looks crap so need to sort that out also.
But step by step she's gettting there...
not enough slack here to click the TPS so i moved it to the lower hole on the TB

Air box secured well and new filter added (£6 from CP4L)

Attaching the heater pipes was a complete sod, no room at all

I have literally 5mm maybe less clearance at the bulhead where the little plate is bolted to the back of the cylinder head. If i'd known it would be this tight i'd have massaged the bulkhead back a little.
Am getting confident now to remove the blue rope tied round to the bell housing in case it needs to come out again.
On the lower TB hole - loads of slack

I've got this little socket (2 thin cables) which is not on the loom Lee sent me and i can see no where for it to plug into, maybe a lamda sensor socket ??

Topped up the GB, took 1.5L

Fitted prop and heat shield

The angle here is a bit jaunty and it sticks out too far i think, the cut out in the rear panel is way too small also

Needs supporting along its length

So getting there
Tomorrow i'll lower the turd, tighten the crank nut and add the coolant
