I used to have an mr2 and on the forum there was a great thread for members to post pics and ditties about their home made DIY type modifications. It was a really popular thread.
So thought I'd start one off here, general rule of thumb is any mod as long as it wasn't a factory/dealer option.
Best the OEM fans turn away now......

LOL, well i did see a pair of MX5 seats in the scrappies the other day and thought they'd look nice in the tech1
then realised they wouldn't tilt forward and so would be impossible to get the kids in the back..oh well

ignore the mess

Currently in the process of making DIY MHW replica rear lights.
Dad made the E21 some poly bush style bushings for the ARB, any e21 owners know the shuddering issue. Well dad fixed it like a BOSS

I have a set of Astra GTE recaro's in the front of my E30. Not really DIY, apart from the bases though.

I'd rather do a pop out one if I did it, I recall someone posted one from a golf or something, they made up a bracket under the air controls, above the ashtray area and had it come out from there. Looked a bit dodgy though and wasn't that 'oem looking'.

Best one u came up with was using another fog light switch in the blanked one in the dash next to hazards etc, with the Ariel and sub remote wires through it, to have the Ariel push button up down operational and the sub on off , will do this again, your seats/interior is nice jim don't be crazy

Ive got the double fog sub cut of switch.
Also e39 interior light modded into the headling in the front of my touring and sunroof switch into leccy window cut off space(need to finish wiring).

Sanchez has reminded me of the one of the mods I've done to every E30 that I've run - the extra interior light in the middle of the front, ranging from a spare E30 boot light to an E36/E34 light complete with twin map reading lights.
The other mod. that every one has had is to make a small change to the wiring inside the fusebox so that the heater fan with operate on the first position. Very useful when eating lunch or whatever in the car in hot weather to be able to have the fan running without the full ignition being on.

One of mine, subtle and discreet. Allows 3 way component speakers on rear shelf.

Agreed they look good, what is it that's covering is it like a mesh ?
The cup holders are great too , do they just sit over the ashtray and in/out easy removal ?
