Am getting my 323i back into action and hit an issue today with the windows, antenna and cigarette lighter. The issue being, none of them work at all.
Checked all fuses - one or two were missing for some reason, and a few were blown, so replaced all of them. Made no difference to the issue.
Checked for power at the window switch and it was getting juice - didn't get a chance to check at the motor, or at the antenna.
Is there anything basic I'm missing here which would connect the issues, or is it just coincidence?
Cheers

Antenna, lighter and windows with the front doors open are all on fuse 30. Front doors closed and ignition on, the windows are on 17. If the engine isn't installed, then they wont work on 17.

Ok cheers mate, will check again - although fairly certain the fuses are good. Engine is in and running fine.

For the windows, there's also the overload switch of course. Are you sure it's pressed in properly?

Yes I think so - it's the first thing I checked. Have a spare one which I'll try out though. Car has been sitting a while too which hasnt done it any favours. Will get the multimeter onto the antenna next to see if its getting any power.

A quick update on this (its still not working!). Overload switch is fine, and power is going to both doors when the window buttons are pressed. The windows freely wind up and down too using an allen key. The microswitch in the door jamb has been removed - ordered a new one which arrived today, but it is the twin prong version. Not sure this would be a cause of the problem anyway.
Would it be unusual for the motors to just give up simultaneously? Also noticed the illuminated window switches both dim completely when any of them are pressed / not sure if hhis us usual behaviour!
