What did you do to your E30 today?
Moderator: martauto
They came over to see what was going on, they also quite liked my mate's gf in the mx5...kept leaning over the small wall to try and lick her....she was not liking it.

If you Got "Haters",Then your doing something Right!
CR24v??? Where's it all gone?? LOL
Filled it up with fuel and found it was doing this:

due to this:

I've changed the tank due to a rotten filler neck, now this top hose has perished, and I have a full tank, and it is a tank out job, and I don't have a garage to work in.
Might have to just ignore the car for a nearly a week and head down to where I can work on it next weekend.
Which line is that anyway? The one on the right that looks wet.

There's usually enough slack in the hose to allow about an inch to be cut off, that has worked for me several times!
The hose it's self is an odd ID,exculsive to BMW,with a price tag to match,BTW.
Youth is wasted on the young.
I've not done anything to it yet, the split appears to be right at the end of the metal pipe, so about 0.5" to 1" into the flexi line.
Which line is it, fuel return? If so, is that going to wee more fuel out if I remove it later and try to fix it without dropping the tank?
I'll have a play about with it after the F1 I think, pretty annoyed about this though, made sure to brim the tank so it could last a good long while and it appears to have pissed a huge amount out. Parked up at my flat and there was a line of drips on the floor, right up to under the car where it was making a small puddle.

The thick one that looks to be weeping in your pic is the breather pipe.
I've had this same issue with several E30's,and have found that trimming the pipe back will fix it,for free, even better!

Breather would make sense given I properly brimmed it so it chucked fuel out...
I'll have a look later this afternoon, see if I have enough length to play with, fixing for free would be nice.

Had a look at the pipe...chopped about 1" of duff pipe off, problem (hopefully) sorted, won't really know until I next brim the tank really.

m52 b30 stroker 6-speed 318is Galvanizer
m42 touring
+ a yard full of scrap turds

Finished fitting the M3 oil cooler to my M52'd cabby. Fitted a new serpentine belt, changed the oil,and filter and took her for a quick spin to check everything worked. First time she's been driven since last October. Runs spot on. Tax & insurance next week hopefully to make the most of the summer.
