This may sound lame....just to the lower left of the steering there is a knob...whats it for? 8O Image

Adjusts the angle of your headlights mate. Notorious for not working in any e30 alive today due to it being a sealed hydraulic system (not BMW's cleverest idea ever!)

It's a hydraulic headlight adjuster.

Lowers and raises the beam for example if you have lots of beer in the boot winkeye

Very rare to find them working!

I should mention that they're a good toy for traffic jams - mine actually works :banana: :wink:

i thought they only had that in tourings for when theyre loaded up.....mines still works though :D

Mine works ... but not sure if it's fully operational.

How much movement do you see between fully up and down? Reckon the light pattern on the road moves about 5-10cm on mine.

Mine still works! the PO had it replaced about 5 years back, cost him about Ԛ£200 to have it fixed from memory...
