You'd be better off getting a new one I would have thought. You'd have no guarantee that a second hand one would last longer than 5 minutes once removed and mounted to your own car.
I had a brand new one fitted to my 525e for Ԛ£80 last week.

The last time i bought a water pump,320i, i paid Ԛ£35.00 for a new one from the dealers.

I have a brand new one for sale, assuming the 320 & 325 water pumps are the same?
It is for a pre-facelift car, so it has the extra outlet for the expansion chamber on the exhaust side of the engine bay.
PM me if it is any use to you, the only thing it hasn't got is the paper gasket as I used that when i fitted the original pump back to my car.
Reason I am selling this one is I bought the wrong pump, the motor factors where I got it was closed, I am lazy, impatient etc etc and so never got a replacement, fitted my old one back to the car and have never bothered to go back to the motor factors for my money back/ swap.
details of it are in my thread in the parts for sale section, called "Look 325 Morsels"

Thanks for the replies guys. After further inspection, I - with the help of a mate by phone - found that it is in fact the thermostat that needs replacing, as it is cracked and the springs won't squeeze
to let the water flow...
If anyone has one of these for a 320i in good working order then I buy !!!
Sorry I haven't replied earlier, I spent all day looking for the fault and it took me like half hour to clean my hands. Thanks for all your help dunno wot would do without you
Open to offers on a thermostat now bring it on !!

is a 325 thermostat the same as a 320 anyone?
if so I also have a brand new BMW thermostat with O ring, brand new, unfitted with original receipt. Again, this is in the parts for sale thread mentioned above

Jose Ԛ£15 posted if you want it.
PM me if anyone answers the query about the 325 stat fitting a 320.
The thermostat I have is for a facelift car (post Sept 87), in the event the thermostat housing is any different between pre and post-facelfit?
prob easiest to look on www.gsfcarparts.com and see if the part number is the same for 320 & 325. I can't look on there here at work as the IT spastics won't allow cookies on my browser thingy.

I took the thermostat out of the housing car and this is what I found:
1 710 953 BMW
80
1/7
engraved on it. Any similarities to yours ??

ok the part number on my invoice is
B11.53.1.713.040
but the part number on the actual unit is the same as you posted above, so I guess it is the right one.
PM me for payment and address details fella. I bought it on 22/9/05 for Ԛ£24.76 from the stealers in York, it includes the O ring too, so ready to fit.
