on a m20b25 where the water pump fits is it the same bolt hole location, ie could you fit a face lift water pump to an early pre face lift engine?

i understand that the pumps and the cooling system has a different hose layout but my query was if the pump will physically mount and bolt up to the block.

Pumps are interchangeable, to suit whichever radiator and coolant bottle set up you have.
