Removed cruise control actuator attached throttle cable and loom as well as OBC temp sensor and attached loom. Also removed cruise control steering column stick.

ENGINE NOW TURNS OVER AND WON'T START!!

I haven't disconnected the battery so my alarm is behaving normally, any ideas what I might have connected wrong? I removed the instrument panel to do this and I've done it before but car has always started.

I'm pretty sure it's cos there's no fuel to the engine, car has always been a first time starter - guaranteed! (it's an auto and it's in 'Park' winkeye)

Need the car this evening - any helpers? Thanks

When removing the OBC, was the immob circuit rejoined ?

(The plug with the loop that connects the green wires.....)

Haven't actually removed the OBC itself yet, just the loom from the horn and temp sensor to inside the car. I think code function immobiliser was probably removed when Clifford alarm was fitted. Rest of OBC remains fitted until I have time to remove radio etc - I can't see that removing these looms should have had any effect?

Do you know anything about the green connector on the back of the instrument cluster - thought this might be the problem? :?

Just been out and had look, I think I've seen what you mean. Connected the wires back up.

Think I've got duff battery though cos it's died and I only turned the car over a couple of times - not happy :-x

Will leave the battery to charge for a bit, and with luck car will start - otherwise I'll be hacked off again!

Green connector i think goes with the cruise control, remember seeing picture of it on previous thread and trying to find it now.

kam325i,
Problem sorted thanks :thumb: got enough juice in battery and car started first time as usual.

When I eventually take this loom out of the saloon will I be able to replace it with a standard one from my Touring so that it will start? I'm moving the cruise and OBC from one to the other and hoping I don't need to buy any bits
