Couple of things -

Where does the passenger side, side repeater plug in to ? Got the inner wire with the connector but can't see where to connect it ?

Also there is a wire in dash area that branches off in to a T with I think green/purple wires with black connectors on the end, like old speaker type connectors - push in spade type with a wider spade and a thinner one below it

Also, I have a new heater control panel facia, how on earth do you separate the old facia from the mechanisms ? It's still all plummed in at present , and the new one doesn't have all the stuff attached to the back, i presume/hope its a quick facis on/off job without having to mess with all the bits attaching to it ? But can't for the life of me work it out

Appreciate any help :)

Wire for the repeater is half way up the door connector wires Karl, not really that easy to miss.

repeater wires are part of the dash loom, if your dash is out you won't find them in the car !!!

remove the 3 slider/heater direction buttons with a quick tug, the facia behind these can be eased off to reveal 4 screws.

Excellent thanks , the buttons are off, hence not bring able to work it out , could not see any screws anywhere , glad I don't have to meddle with all the gubbins

Its a hard job to try work out on your own facing never done it and 18 months after it was all taken apart

Someone needs to do a good step by step dash install guide for the wiki , not one that says "fitting is reverse of removing" which is not so easy to follow

Also 1 last question- the centre console loom that comes up from the floors ,which side of the gear stick does it sit ?

It's a nightmare all this lol, just trying to work out how all the pass side stuff goes in that top corner , the relays in the bracket ? And the glove box bracket and that ecu thing that's there , does that all get fitted in position before or after the dash ?

I got that bloody brake servo out - well I couldn't lift it free ,the inlet manifold stops it and its a few cm long on the shaft, right at the end just inside the hole there's a nut on it, should that be taken apart ? I didn't have a spanner that fitted it

Polsta , it seems you are stuck every inch of the way with this turd, you should have taken a lot more care/notes/Photo's upon stripping your car down !!
isn't there someone in your area who could help you out who knows E30's ?

it's not a nightmare they are really simple in comparison to other cars, :D

I'm encountering a few problems but I'm not a mechanic and been a long time since I've been tinkering with an e30, I'm busting my gut doing a big job here and many many hours, So a few little problems in how some things go are not bad really with the amount of work I'm putting in, things like door locks and wiring and how some bits go that we're not on the car when it was stripped or things like heater facias what I've never touched , are not bad, seems like I'm asking a lot of questions but that's because im on my own trying to work everything out and a bit rusty on e30s and not like I've drove an e30 around for a long time so you do forget things , its better to ask than get things wrong and the zone has always been good on help, I'd love someone to give me a hand for an afternoon but everyone's busy its no drama il get it done ,just need a bit of expert zone help on a few things that's all

Why don't you take pics while putting the loom in to help others out.
It would help others in your situation
