took the car out today and noticed a rattle from the back then tracked it down to this....

Image

these are oem rear damper bolts and as you can see they are too small for the bush hole in the spax adjustable shocks and even fully tightened there is movement

i've put a washer either side of the shocker and tightened up with a long bar for now but i know the rattle will return sometime .

has anyone else had the same problem and do spax sell the right bolts or where can i get them from :?

p1ssed oFF!

I've had this with shockers before.

£77 each new isn't that cheap but £50 as new was .

the boge turbo's i had were too soft for my liking so i'll get some sleeves made up for now.

i want to change the fronts which are also boge turbo for something a bit firmer but not rock hard that i can use with m-tech front springs so don't want shortened dampers .

any recommendations ?

Can't go wrong with Bilstein B8's.

Nothing wrong with Spax PSV's, I have them on the rear as well and they are a decent shock, just not zone vogue it seems.

That will work well mick, I've got b8's on mine and they are just awesome. They may be a bit harsh for some, more so if you are on low springs, but they perform fantastically.

Wrong, and before anybody starts posting links I speak from actual experience, not internet searches :)

Do the b8's have shorter travel then dan? I've never had b6's to compare but I've got 60mm springs on mine with b8's and its really composed. Are they just a stiffer shock?
