Happy New Year people!

Im after a bit of advice. I have a 325i motorsport cabriolet and what to replace the front half of the exhaust system to get rid of the catalytic converter.
The car is currently fitted with a 2 piece exhaust sytem. front section is a genuine bmw cat (bit rusty) and the rear is a scorpion Lemans back box with link pipes.
I want to keep the rear box and im thinking of putting on a scorpion front section, to make it a scorpion full system, what do you think?
Do scorpion only make 3 piece systems(i.e. down pipes, centre section and rear box)?
Does any one have a scorpion full system on the car with a leman rear box?
If they do does it sound nice or far to loud?

Thanks

Dean

Looking forward to seeing your car at a few shows this year.

A1BMW325iSport, What do you think of the full system. Is it too loud or nice?

Hi Dean,
yes i bought the system 2nd hand but was nearly new and i bought the back box brand new, it sounds really nice.

my old 320i had powerflow on and the scorpion on my 325i sounds much much better.

i definately recommend a scorpion, i've got a sound clip somewhere i'll try and find it

i'm sure many people will back up my comments on scorpion

Cheers mate.

I just wanted to make sure that people didnt regret getting a scorpion front section.
Dont think i'll be lucky enought to find a second hand one so will probably get a 2 piece system new scorpion front section when my bank balance has recovered from christmas!!!!

The scorpion systems do sound very nice!

Are the cab and coupe exhaust systems the same?
If so, im going to take my 3 piece system with scorpion back box of my coupe and put it on the cab (which has a 2 piece standard system at the mo).

the centre section makes all the difference, it just improves the sound even more, i tried my rear box with bmw system and then fitted the complete scorpion and it was definately better with the whole system

Thanks for all of your replys! Im totally convinced now that the scorpion front section is the way to go!!!
I have one more question though, has any one put there scorpion front section in as replacement for the catalystic converter?
If so have you put the lamda sensor back into the front half of the scorpion system or did you just disconnect it completely and turn the cat option off on the ECU?

scorpions are well loud! and the centre box will make it sound very hollow. I love them, but some hate it. Very distinctive noise

imo, i don't think they suit a cab. I'd want a quicksilver like mine on a cab, standard noise but alot more bass down low. Nice!

Is there anyway to change over the rear pipe? Or am I stuck with it? It's starting to mess up the rear window of my touring.. not to mention the body work too!

Can i just cut the upturned ends off and leave it at that? or can I weld a big F'in oval and make it look like a shnitzer exhaust?
