Which iPad app, (which preferably has a PC counterpart) is anyone using please to monitor their vehicle's maintenance, servicing, and fuel. I would prefer to do it on the PC and be able to sync to same program on the iPad.

On a Windows Mobile PDA I used the excellent iambic Personal Vehicle Manager, but that is not available as an app.

I am currently looking at Kaizen Vehicle Maintainence Software on the PC and found some iPad apps.

Thanks in advance for any helpful comments or suggestions.

I thought the management on the E30 was pretty basic. Would an OBC and and the service lights not just give you the same info?

Thanks. Yes the OBC is useful 'for a moment in time', but I am talking about software which covers ongoing servicing, maintenance and fuel costs/consumption logs etc.

A folder for receipts and not being a spastic are how I normally keep a record of service costs and when work was done.

I bought a mk1 golf once which had loads of little blue record books dating back to when it was new with mileage covered, oil consumption and fuel consumption and maintainence which I kept filling in...for all of a week until I realised I have far more important things to do with my life.

I usually find that putting petrol in when the light is on, and oil in when the dipstick is low, works quite well for me.

Have to agree, although not high tech cars, they pretty much tell you when something is wrong and maintenance is needed....?

Or are you referring to a an app that keeps all records of maintenance for easy reference....?

Yes, Glave (thank you for your reply), it's an app, or program which I am after.

I find Microsoft Excel pretty handy. Bear in mind that smartphones barely last more than a year, so you'll change your phone sooner than you change your air filter - so what's the point in an app?

$50 solution to a $5 problem.

most apps are only a couple of quid, most people keep their ipads (which are not smartphones) for more than a year.

honestly, I'm starting to wonder if anyone has actually read the original post
cheers,

which you'll have to buy every time you change your phone. A paper notebook is about 50p and will last the life of the car.
