I have fitted one of these:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/white-stitch- ... 1152wt_958
and the quality was great. Took some doing to get it on (I had to heat it gently to be able to stretch it into place) but once on it looked the nuts. I'd buy another.

Thanks, thats encouraging. Looks like a similar product. Also this German seller has 100% feedback for all similar stuff.
I bought my original mushroom knob from the US for 12 dollars including postage and the leather cover is 12.50€, so all in all it will have cost me less than 20 quid.
Seems worth the risk.

Are you buying the German one?
The postage doesn't calculate automatically so you have to look for the link that says the equivalent of "request total from seller".

I put the "paying page" into google translate, then clicked on the "request total from seller".
I wrote in English that I expected him to send the invoice for the advertised postage costs (4.50€ within EU) plus Ãtem cost, totla invoice 12.49€.
That was at about 1:00 am last night and by lunch time today I had the invoice exactly as expected and completed the payment no problem.

I'm thinking of using some saddle soap type of lubricant in order to ease the sheath over my knob......
