Please try to post in the correct forum.
First check to make is to disconnect the C101 20 pin engine loom plug from its socket next to the fusebox, identify pin 4 on the body loom side, and use a piece of wire to connect that pin to earth.
What does the gauge do when the ignition is turned on?

Throwing parts blindly at the problem very rarely fixes them. Instead, have a read of this:

Wiki has things in the wrong order. First port of call should be the C101, to determine whether the problem is on the engine electrics or the body side.

Can't remember which is plug and which is socket, but about 2.5 seconds of observation in the engine bay will show which side of the C101 leads to the engine, and which disappears through the bulkhead into the car to the dash cluster.
