Does anybody know how rare this is and a rough value?

The only link google can bring up is this

http://www.s14.net/forums/showthread.ph ... -Seat-Kits.

I know of a touring with the interior not in the best of conditions, i was wondering if its worth getting?

I am new to e30's and am not sure what is common and what is rare.

Yes it is rare, don't think they are listed in the wiki under upholstery options for some reason. Value wise they are the same as most other sports seats, but have less appeal to many because of the colour and it matching the car. They dont come up for sale often, although someone is selling a neon blue set in the for sale section. You can usually find one or two bits on ebay.de aswell

The ones on that link are newly made covers with the original material which isn't a bad thing as most are well worn by now. I have seen it in blue, green, red and violet i think and actual m-tech blue/red for the m3. Its a real shame bmw didn't sell more e30's with these fitted, would love a red set for my car

Looks like aftermarket tat to me. It doesn't match any of the Neon/Design fabrics fitted to the Design Edition cars (Touring and Cabriolet) and it certainly isn't M-Tech.
