The cars not been started for well over a year now , but its pretty much been sat in driven since November 2011

So what should be done before starting it ? I do have a feeling it would fire up !!! But don't want to , mate said drain/change the oil 1st as it will all be right down in the sump

What else should I do ? New spark plugs ? Need to get it moving so I can drive it a few hundred yards to my house and water for a clean and hoover and do the engine bay, So I can then wax it and start re fitting trimm on the outside

Also the clutch - it's quite heavy in terms of pushing the pedal , feels like it sits high maybe, are all 325i like that ? It's defo a lot more so than my old is, I drove jumbos car and its exact sane as mine, he thought its maybe just how they are ? But I'm not Si sure, is it the master or slave cylinder ?

Remove the plugs and see how they look. No point changing them if they are ok. While they are out turn the engine over a few times by hand. Put the plugs in and drain the oil. When you fill it up, try and pour it in quickly so it fills the head area before dropping into the sump.

Give it a crank, should all be ok.

Might want to pour some fresh fuel in though.

Can't help on the clutch. Never driven an e30 with a standard one.

Turn it over on the crankshaft pulley using a large spanner by hand first, and as your mate says, probably best to change the oil if it's dirty - if it looks clean, I'd leave it but change it after a few hundred miles.

Same goes for the spark plugs - if they look OK, you may as well use them, but while they are out, pour a little engine oil down each plug hole to provide some cylinder/piston ring lubricant.

Clutch may have stuck onto the flywheel, in which case, you'll need to free it off. Usually, starting the car in gear with the clutch pedal pressed down will eventually free it off with a bang. You could also try pumping the clutch pedal in and out as you drive along, assuming you have enough room to do this; otherwise, jack it up at the back and run it on axle stands while pumping the clutch pedal.

Ok cheers guys, note the clutch problem was how it was when on the road /always has been since I've owned it

I have no idea how old the plugs are they were in when I got it , so il change them anyway or maybe after its moving ? Il give the car a full service and mechanical refresh once its nearing mot ready time, but that's not going to be for a few weeks yet I could just do with getting it able to drive up the road and back ASAP for a clean up, the bay is filthy

Also where's best place to get injectors refurbed ? Anyone on here do a service ?

The existing spark plugs should be fine, as long as they are the correct type and not eroded badly - new ones won't make much difference unless the old ones are really bad!

no need to turn over by hand, best thing to do is remove ht leads and turn it over a few times on the starter to build oil pressure.
