My bum hurts!

Just bought a car from a BMW main dealer in Donny. paid for seal and protect as they properly sold it to me as a vehicle detailing and interior deep clean.

What a load of nonsense. It's had a quick wash and a wipe over with a bit of wax, or so it seems. Swirl marks all still evident, interior still has grubby marks here and there. Car also had water marks all over it - why when it had just been 'polished' I have no idea.

I'm about to complain, but thought i'd post in here first to see if some useful types can give me any additional ammo for my complaint.

I looked at a local car detailing companies website and they quoted £299 for paint correction detailing that takes anywhere from 15 - 40 hours depending on how much work is required.

BMW seal and protect £395 - what a fooking mug I am!

I wouldn't have paid £395 for that anyway! Think how many top quality cleaning products you could have bought, done it yourself and still have the products to do it many more times!

Did they have a glass door? Because they saw you coming! :D

Guilty...

Having looked at other detailing sites etc.. for what they described it seemed fair enough, but what has been delivered doesn't match what was described at all.

I have the bag of cleaning products in the boot. I think if it had actually been detailed, I would have been happ(ier).

Seal and Protect is really pushed by Stratstone. It's a waste of time and most buyers see it for the scam it is. Let the Kosovans wash it once a month and bollocks to it.

A couple of professional detailers I know would charge £250-£450 but you'd have proper job done with quality products

All dealers have been selling these miracle shine style 'packages' for years. It's all bullcrap, and an easy way to bump a couple of hundred quids profit on a sale where margins are tight.

and as said above, they buy the stuff at about £30 a pop, and can usually spread it out over two cars
cheers,

harry

Gutted doesn't cover it.

Though Mrs Kemlo is on the case, she is a professional complainer. Fingers crossed we'll get something back from them.

Nobody made the OP take the £400 fisting , it was his choice. The moral of the story is , do your research first first, sign on the dotted line later !

Amen to that.

Lesson learned. An expensive lesson at that...

Though, I maintain that they haven't delivered anywhere close to what was promised. The description was very detailed, the delivery was slapdash at best.

Be nice to claw something back, but we will see.
