When the car is loaded up I get a clunk when going over a bump which sounds as though it is coming from the NS rear suspension.
I changed the beam bushes about 2 years ago, with new shocks at the same.
On inspection it I can see about 5 or 6 mm of rubber on the inboard side of both trailing arm mountings, but none on the outboard side. The visible rubber does not look perished.
Does it sound as though I need to change the trailing arm bushes, or could it be the top mounts that need changing?

It won't be the trailing arm bushes. They have that excess rubber to aid fitting.

Thanks Grrrr. I wondered whether NOT having any rubber visible at the other end might have something to do with the symptoms.
Does this sound more like the top mounts then?

Check the top mount out.

What's the procedure for checking them?
