Can you tell I've got time on my hands and am stuck in front of a PC????

So on the centre console of an E30, you have the window switches, the window shut off button thingy(? the same size as a window switch) - but what goes in the little hole(s) normally???
The space the size of half a window switch???

Don't recall having seen a button that size in any of my E30's, but my memory is shocking to be fair!!!
The console currently in my touring has two of these holes, both empty!!!!!!

The window shut off button thingy is half the size for e30's with the misfortune of having 4 doors.

Heres one below & the seller managed to spell it wrong.

I wouldn't imagine so, other than cutting power to 4 four electric windows rather than two.

I converted my touring from just electric fronts, to having 4 'leccy windows - so does this just connect to the same two wires then???

By the way, the big "window shut off" switch isn't that - it's a thermal trip switch that cuts off the windows if the motors seize; i.e, if there's something like a child's head jamming the window. If you use it regularly as a cut-off switch then you'll kill it.

Grrrrr - yeah, I knew that, just couldn't remember!!!!

Don't think I've ever used it - other than accidentally!!!

Need to get hold of a little switch now - two actually - I have two holes to fill for some reason!!!

Any other switches/buttons come in that small size???

I thought they were normally further back, but I suppose someone could've fitted them further up!!!
The holes are in front of the window switches on my current centre console!!!

The 'small switch' is fitted to saloons with the correct door count and tourings,as long as they are equipped with power windows to all doors.

It stops the little darlings that are mounted in the rear seats from opening the windows in the rear doors. Also stops your 'er indoors mother from opening the rear windows! :D
