Looking for a new rear panel for a facelift 316/318. Last time I check the dealers didn't do anymore. Anyone know a place to get one? Thanks

+1, patten parts are something to be avoided in my view, generally shite quality, poorly fitting and last only a fraction of the time.jonesy318 wrote:Dealers mate, brought mine from my local dealers 3 weeks ago for a facelift 318 so still available

Right I bit the bullet and got a dealer rear panel. I'll probably need both bottom corners aswell and can't afford £300 from the dealers so does anyone know somewhere to get these? I'm sure I've seen them cheap somewhere on the net before.

it took you long enough to get round too, im suprised theres anything left
remember when you get it done it should be braised , not normal welded, its a vital panel really so its always best to get genuine, it looks fantastic once done

Not that it being braised or welded makes a difference to structural integrity, it's really just so it's easy to shape afterwards as it's softer then weld.
Is the underneath bit a separate panel then? (Bit with the exhaust cut out) Or is that a different panel entirely?

Why does that Panel not line up Karl where it's been brazed, you can see it clearly where the light gasket would sit.polsta wrote:it took you long enough to get round too, im suprised theres anything left![]()

BenHar - was £150 for the panel
Yeah has taken me long enough to sort haha. Some things you just put off when you cant sort it yourself if you know what i mean. Cheers for the advice on brazing, but I'll prob just get it welded as I don't know anyone with brazzing equipment I don't think.
Green - the panel includes the tail light cutouts etc aswell.
Anyone know about cheap alturnitives for the lower corners? I found easily with the search function on here before.

Just realised that the dealer don't do the rear valance corners one their own. Hence why they are expensive. Even more reason to get pattern ones
