Hey guys - need a hand. I currently have a shitty Sony HU and possibly non-working fronts. that needs to change.
I really want to something that looks as factory as possible which can take an iPhone input, and suggestions for front speakers that will fit in behind the front kick plates (potentially with a tweeter that can go into the tweeter pods as well). Would love to hear ideas! I kinda like some of the period looking stuff I've seen around, but don't know specifics.
Also, do you know any good audio installers based in London I could get to install? I've little to zero desire to spend a weekend fiddling with wires.
Cheers!
Gus

What sort of budget?
Tbh, I'd forget period speakers, you won't see them anyway.
I've got a set of rainbow 5.25in componants in my e36 ( would fit perfectly in the standard positions in an e30 )
Great quality, great sounding German made speakers.
Headunits, no idea what's good and what's not these days, I've always liked alpine stuff. Even their cheaper stuff sounds great, but tend not to have many features. They tend to have quite a classic look, although not strictly period correct and their amber illuminated models match bmw dashes very nicely.

Iv got the halfords version of the Kenwood dab unit and it doesn't look out of place. The dab aerial is discrete and has a front ish for either iPod or flashdrives.
The halfords version has white lights the normal Kenwood is blue I think from memory
