Hi All, I was wanting to know if Genuine Alpinas 16in are the same width or are they staggered, or can you get same width all round or staggered.
Thanks in advance.

You could get them the same width all round: 7J front 7J rear or staggered: 7J front 8J rear.

Hi Blitz. Thank you for the quick response.. One other question i should have asked, I presume the staggered ones are more expensive and pretty rare.
Last question i promise lol.

Not very rare but they command a premium over non staggered ones.

Just like to add my tuppence for a bit of context; I paid £580 to a zoner for 4 fully refurbished 16" genuine alpinas 7J all round with good tyres earlier this year.Topblag wrote:Rare to come up for sale these days. They'll be going for £1500 before you know it.
A staggered set can't be worth too much more?

staggered is worth a lot more.
if they did sets of 7s and 7s+8s, then the 8s alone are a lot more rare, plus they're more desireable.
rarity + desirability = not cheap

the problem with the 16x8 is there are no good all round tyres available in the correct size 225/45/16. with the 16x7 there are alot of good tyres and ultimately that is why i avoided the 16x8 when i hunted for mine

yeah, those not available without importing where i am and appear to be superseded now and couldn't find an alternate conti tyre ?so it is only what tyre places have in stock but still not much use in this part of the world:(SteSE wrote:225/45/16 continental sport contact 2 available and are a brilliant tyre.reggid wrote:the problem with the 16x8 is there are no good all round tyres available in the correct size 225/45/16. with the 16x7 there are alot of good tyres and ultimately that is why i avoided the 16x8 when i hunted for mine
