to be honest mate i would look to covert the roof to manual, i did this about 2 years ago as the electric roofs can be a pain to sort out and maintain, plus parts are expensive.

just my opinion. :D

Hello mate,

The arm you are showing in your pic, has a very slight bend in it, but not to the extent yours is showing - this will definitely stop your roof from working.

See the dia (part # 3). You need to buy a new one - straightening it out will not help as it has been weakened.

Part # 10, 11, & 14 you have purchased. You just screw these onto arm, part #3 - provided it was straight.

You may find that you still cannot get the arm to fit - you need to do this by disconnecting the main roof motor (seen from the right hand side of the boot).

I assume both the motors work (main one and the horseshoe one in the centre, viewed from the boot).

if they do, then there is a synchronising process that needs to be followed (see wiki article below).

Let us know how you get on with the above first.

Electric roofs can be a PITA, but do carry on, as they are great when they are working properly.

PS. If you remove the levers # 18 & 4, you will see the top of the motor. Can you show me a pic of this, please?

Nah, Jim, I don't know enough to set up a business (besides, I don't like getting my hands dirty... :D ).

I have messed around with the roof long enough to work out what can go wrong with them, though. :D
