I had planned to link to my post in the newbie forum which had all my backstory and history, but it's been deleted already so...

I used to be a rep for a Skyline site.

After 7 years with my R33 I managed to destroy 2 engines drifting it and decided to break it, sell it for parts and return to an E30, which was easily my favourite car I'd owned prior to the Skyline.

I'm picking up my sexy E30 a week on Tuesday and dropping it straight round my mates house where he'll be dropping an M30 engine and box in. I also have a NOS kit here which I may ask him to fit at the same time ... still undecided!

Anyway, as a rep for SO.com I organised an 'open to all cars' event last year - The Buttertubs Run.

It was an epic day and although it was mostly Skylines we did also have a VW, Saab and MR2 join in with the fun, in fact a mate with a gorgeous R33 Skyline had it in pieces at the time so he came along in the work van!

I'm about to start planning the next run, everyones welcome, if you're interested or have an opinion on route or dates etc shout up...

Meet 9am sharp, Sunday 23rd June at:

Morrisons car park
Boroughbridge Services
YO51 9HS

Well the response hasn't been overwhelming on this forum but if there are some of you who don't mind hanging around with the JDM lot we're looking at Sunday 23rd of June.

There will definitely be at least 1 E30 there (me), I'll see if my mate will bring one of his as well and there may well be a few lads in E36's and the like from the drift scene.

Think I'm flogging a dead horse here but it's now up on FaceBook:

Last attempt at this. It's now nothing to do with any club or forum, it's just a group of mates and likeminded petrolheads having a drive out in the Dales.

It'll be the VERY 1ST time my newly built M30 E30 has a chance to stretch it's legs. Doug reckons it'll be finished Saturday, it's then going into my mates garage with the instructions, get it through it's MOT at all costs! Build is here: http://www.e30zone.net/modules.php?name ... c&t=238112

All are welcome, there will be Jap cars there, there will be Euro cars there and there will probably be some surprises there too. It's a great day out, cracking company, that's it, I've said my lot, you can ignore me in peace now :p

Unless I'm missing it here I can only see a date, no other details - time, route, where in the country this is happening??

Tbh, it looks like a good day out with like minded people, but its difficult to say yes or no if all the details aren't posted on the forum.

I can say I won't be there as we already have a South Wales meet planned for the 23rd.

My bad, they were there but they were on the old ad pictures which had the car club this used to be affiliated with, which I just removed.

Details back up, probably a bit of a trek for you though! Yorkshire Dales, a week on Sunday

I know no one else from here came along but we did get a couple of other Beemers. It was a cracking day, the weather just made it more fun! My E30 spins up it's rears in every gear in the wet, so add in some of the twistiest roads in the country and a bunch of other petol heads in mostly RWD cars and you can imagine, it was a blast :)

We're probably going to organise another North Yorkshire run out before the summers out. I'm not even sure if there are any other Northern members but I'll stick another thread up for people to ignore! lol
