Just got hold of a afm for my m42 went to fit it today but the diameter is smaller than mine ? That connects up the manifold pipe.
Is this due to it being for a m40?

If the last three digits on the black cover are 082 then yes its M40.
M30 Tech 1 Touring on gas.
