Hi,
Found a half decent E46 325i Touring in Germany with the sequential SMG gearbox ... any advice ??
One to avoid in case of breakdown etc ??
Car is Oct 2003 with 99000 km.

Sure its got a sequential box, not a triptronic?
Current E30 325i, E63 630is.

That will be the SSG (Seriously Sad Gearbox ) as often seen (hard shoulder /scrapyard) in period Alfas. Alfa called it the'Selespeed' which quickly became known as the 'Silispeed'

I do not know, but they quickly realised the error of their ways and deleted them. IIRC they were only sold for a couple of years here.
People used to convert them to manual when they died. Most now unless very nice, will get scrapped as a bill like that on a ten year old car is usually enough for it to become 'spares or repair' on Ebay.

You guys don't know how good you have it in the UK .....
That car is advertised at about 10000 euro or Danish 75.000
The import duty into into Denmark is DKK 105000 making it DKK 180000 or in pounds just over 20 grand.
I suppose the same in the uk goes for about 3 ???
