When I turn the heating on to setting 4 it makes a loud vibrating noise. When on setting 1-3 there is a very quiet squeaking noise.
Not much air seems to be blowing through but car is still getting heat coming through.

What is the most likely cause?

Cheers, I had a look at this first and assumed that this may be the cause. I will have this out tonight and clean and lube to see if it makes a difference.

I think I'll take the motor out and do it and wipe any excess before refitting!

Popped the motor out to find that a few of the blades have come loose which is causing the loud noise. Can the fan parts be detached and replaced or do you have to buy a whole new heater motor unit.

Also, the fan spins on settings 1-2 and 4 but not 3... does this mean I need a new resistor pack?
