Front top mount and front wheel bearing replaced. The rattle and the ghostly choir noise have all gone away and I am a happy bunny. I even washed it to celebrate...

X5 V8 for thrills, CRV for chills, Range Rover P38 V8 for sooooo much aggravation...

Fitted a replacement horse shoe release handle (normal door handle). Access is a bit of a pig and removing the release cables isn't fun but now I have a fully working and unbroken release handle. Much better than the snapped one the car came with.

Drove it and manage to fix the central locking that didn't work...by using the locks, oddly it appears to have been freed up just by using boot and the front two a few times this weekend. Handy that it now works though.
Very tempted to look into getting a remote for it at some point as RCL would be really good, something I do miss going from a modern car to an old one.

I squeezed past mine in the garage when I went to get some tools out of the toolbox, and brushed a little dust off the rear wheel arch.

Still raining and quite windy here. Felt warm though. I'll tax it next month, so be warned, no doubt heavy rain will come

Cool. Thanks. I'm going to get one of those. You never know when it might be needed with cars of our vintage.
