My drivers seat wont tilt forward to let people in the back and also wont tilt forward or back for adjustment.
Does anyone know if this is fixable? If so, can anyone recommend a place in or near Essex or London?

Thanks in advance.

I've got the same problem and have been told to take off the seat back to check all the wires are intact?

Not sure if that's any help :?

If it's just the tip over to let people in bit, then it's a broken cable, but if the other adjustments have gone faulty at the same time, then it may well be a broken seat frame, which amongst other things, is a MOT failure.
Can you twist the whole seat back more than it should?
It can be stripped and welded, but if it's a non sport seat, then the easiest thing to do is to find a scrap seat with worn fabric (not uncommon), and change the fabric from your base on to it. Simple, if time consuming job. Two door and four door seats have identical bases.

I beleive it is a sport seat (are these different to recaros?), it feels deeper than the recaros in my other E30. Im going to pop into a local(ish) trimers and see if its a job they can do.
Im not sure if there is too much play in the seat and I wont check now as its raining, cold and ive drunk a bottle of wine. lol

Thanks for your help though.
