It's just not that difficult to use the occasional full stop or comma though, is it? It makes it far easier to read, a basic courtesy considering people are trying to help you out for free.
I am 21 by the way, not old by any stretch of the means.

daneil, it's a 50/50 mix. I'm a proof-reader by trade so I'm correcting other people's mistakes 7 days a week. That means I know how horrible it feels to have your errors pointed out to you, and how much people hate the one who spots the errors. On the other hand, if you don't make your messages easy enough to read, then no-one's going to bother reading them... which means you won't get helpful replies when you ask questions.
The Zone has built-in filters to block out the laziest txtspk rubbish, and we also have a significant number of foreign users who might struggle to read what you guys call "normal English" - that means we do ask you to put a little bit of effort in.
So let's have no more talk on "grammer" and get back to calling all Sports overpriced rusty turds.

I don't care what you paid or spend.
As for investments there are other models that will rise more longterm.
I just hope you enjoy your E30 rember your along time dead.

A sport is only worth what a buyer will pay, sadly in most cases the Buyer has no idea what he's getting for his money
is there such a thing as a good low miles un-restored sport with full BMW History ?
if your buying one for investment then your in the wrong game, if your an enthusiast then find the best you can with your budget and enjoy

Hi All, My motto is it is only expensive the day you buy it. If of course if it is worth buying at all whether it be a 316I or a 325I Sport.
I paid daft money for this car as some people have eluded to because it was a local car to me from new,has full BMW service history, all books and manuals, full tool kit, pocket torch, original spare key etc etc. The car was very little used by the last owner from 1994 until I purchased in 2013, It was a very genuine car, but a used car. Due to a litte blistering on the wheel arches and one or two rust spots on the sunroof it was decided to give it a full glass out respray rather than wheel arches only and then the paint not matching, especially with silver.
Alloys refurbed and new conti tyres, again etc etc. All before and after pictures provided. Body kit etc put back on again correctly.
Believe me if this car had been lowered with 17in replica alloys angel eyes and so on I would not have bought it at any money (not critising other peoples cars just not for me) my only change would be to fit a set of 16in Alpinas and leave it at that. But one of my brothers and a good friend think I should leave the car as it is.
To digress a little, I purchased a 1 owner 1990 UR Audi quattro 6 years ago with 24k miles from new. The car was for sale in the quattro owners club newsletter for a long time simply because at the time quattros were not fetching his asking price circa 20k, I asked a friend in the club to view it for me and he spent hours taking pics etc, I purchased the car after his inspection and whilst like the 325 sport it was a very genuine car it still needed 3k spending on cambelt change, all brake components replaced, new tyres due to them being perished, new fuel lines, again I could go on all day. The bottom line being I turned down 30k for this car at a classic car event at Glamis in Scotland last year. I suppose like a lot of people on the forum we will never understand why some classic cars fetch a lot more money than others. If the sport I have like lots of other peoples on this forum had been an Rs2000/ Mexico or similar it would probably be close to 15/20k, not to mention rwd Toyota corrola twincams.
Within my family we have a fondness for nice cars in my case late 80s/ early 90s stuff including an oak green big bumper mk2 Golf GTI 16v with electric recaros. And now i will make you all laugh
it had an 11k refurb a few years back when it would still only ever fetch 4/5k at best. An e46 M3 CSL 2004 with 2k miles from new, never tracked or messed with, a 1986 whaletail sierra cosworth with 42k miles from new in moonstone blue, again as new another pearl white UR quattro which I travelled to West Sussex for because a neighbour of mine owned this car when new and I remember the first day he brought it home. When I collected it in Sussex it was in a very bad shape. It is just back from the bodyshop after a complete ground up refurb, I took it back to the original owner to let him see it after the refurb
he was speechless and after sitting in it he asked me if I could do him a big favour and let him have the use of it for a day when the weather picks up, he was so glad to see it back in our village. He said it cost him 36k new and he should never have sold it.
The one common thing about all these cars including the sport is they all belonged to local people to me from new.
I apologise for the very long thread, I could go on and on. I will finish with one little tale regarding the pearl quattro, when I first told the original owner I had found the car in Sussex he told me that he still had the original leather wallet belonging to the car with all the manuals the original spare keys and the original Blaupunkt stereo system as he had fitted an after market one at the time. He said he sold the car to a doctor in Edinburgh, and drove it to the boat for the new owner to collect on the otherside but to this day does not know why he did not put in the keys and wallet. So I now have duplicate books with copys of service receipts from new and the service history going forward.
I promise that is me finished now, only to say I will put up some pics of the sport when I get it back home as it is currently in a friends garage. Probably the vote for the least informative thread on this forum as it should be about the e30, Apologies to all lol.
David.

Nice to see that dbell will be saving a classic. It shows that real collectors see the value and desirability of the 325i Sports.

Absolutley entitled to your opinion, and a very valid one at that. But you like i have no crystal ball in life, so only the future will ever decide these things, So based on that only time will tell.ross_jsy wrote:I stopped reading the essay justifying the 5 figure mistake you made after reading it has a rotten roof and blistering arches. Ok guys, everyone's had their opinion on this now. The guy is happy with his purchase, whether or not everyone agrees with him or not is just life, get over it.
Hopefully the happiness you get from the car make the outlay worth while.
Enjoy the site everyone
