Please Help!--Heater Only Working On Mode 4!!!!!!!!

hi guys,would appreciate if anyone could help,basically when i put my heater blower on it only works on mode 4,when i adjust it to mode 1,2 and 3 nothing happens,and when i adjust it to Mode 4 it comes on,ive tried changing the actual heater switch but still the same,if someone knows about this problem please help!

its the resistor pack at fault sounds like

hi yeah my 325i cabby has the same problem only working on mode 4, and last 2 weeks has made some moaning noises ect.. can anyone give a good discription on how to solve this. thanx in advance b.

A1 can you give me some more info please,because this is a bit of a problem for me,using the heater at mode 4 is a bit too much for me,so please anyone help.
