Need a pair of shocks for the front of my 325.
It has Eibach springs all round and SuperSport shocks at the rear. The fronts need to go back as there are parts missing from the box (however I bought them 2yrs ago...), so was wondering should I just opt for the same ones again? go standard sport shocks or buy a different aftermarket shock.
I'm after a pair of reasonable fronts that won't break the bank.
I've seen B4's for £120 the pair - seems like an okay deal.

I'll have to check - I called Spax who are the distrbutor in the UK and they want me to photograph the box contents so they can check with Supersport to see what's missing.Quaser wrote:how thick is the piston on the shocks you have? cant you just get replacement collars?
With ref to the collar - I'm just quoting the mechanic. The standard insert has a kind of step at the end where it gets slightly thinner, the Supersport replacements are straight from top to bottom. I assumed the collar he's referring to fits around the top of the strut?
Might be an idea to post the pics when I get them.

As Magpie mentioned these are good shocks and are an OEM Mtech equivalent. GSF do them as well but there is very little difference in the price. I paid £94 delivered last year for a pair of fronts. They will come with new collars and are a straight fit replacement.magpie wrote:you can get boge turbo ones for about £50 each from euro car parts just as good as b4's

Interesting.
Rebuilding my front struts and was going to go B4s and Eibachs - but parts supplier reckons Boge turbo are just as good (and significantly cheaper). I'm not sure - in my experience you mostly get what you pay for..?

The ebay ad for B4s seems to be wrong.
It appears to be for 45mm struts. 325 struts are all 51 mm.
