I know in the summer lots of different types of cars and car clubs do brighton runs and meets on the sea front on a decent summer day. I was wondering if there was anything like that, that happens in brighton for e30s during the summer? I dont know about anyone else, but i love a nice cruise down to brighton on a hot summer days. I have always enjoyed it, and now that i finally own an e30 like i have always dreamed of, i reckon i would enjoy it even more. If there isnt, firstly, would anyone be interested in a brighton run/meet some time this summer, and secondly, would anyone be up for or be able to help me or anyone else organise one? E30zone brighton run?!?!

I might be being a bit ambitious here, because i have never organised anything even similiar to this, and i wouldnt even know where to start lol. But im just putting the feelers out there initially. So any views or feedback from people would be great, or if any meet/event organisers want to give a hand winkeye or advice aswell, that would be cool.

Ill wait to see what sort of response this gets or if it just gets laughed out of here lol.

London to brighton? Surrey to brighton? M25 to brighton?

Shame no one has replied.

I would be up for a organised run, if we could park up on the drive after that would be really good. Surrey to brighton would be good too, using some of the smaller more entertaining roads rather then M23/A23

:)

Right, wiked. Glad to have a bit of positive feedback at last. Im open to all suggestions. Odviously it wouldnt be much of a meet with just the 3 of us so i think we should try and drum up some more interest. Im up for any good route if anyone knows or can suggest any decent roads, i mean id have done m23 but only through habbit really because its the only rout i really know. If anyone could suggest a route lets do it phill172. Yea quaser cobham was exactly what i thought. Do either of you know any meets events organisers on here who i could maybe speak to and get some advice about organising this, because i have never organised anything like this to could do with some tips and advice. Im thinking i might post in the guilford meet thread and see if any of them lot would be up for it seen as they are half local. This could be good if we could make it happen.

I know quite a few clubs go from Tattenham corner, epsom downs. My granddad does a veteran bike run each year form there to brighton. If his early 1900's sunbeam can get there I'm sure the cars can. Another possible location that holds hill climbs and a few other car shows (aswell as a commercial vehicle london to brighton rally) starts at crystal palace park by the sports centre.

I think my turds on its last legs now, dont even know if it would make it that far. So i dont know if anyone else fancies doing anything with this, because tbh i dout im going to be doing anything much with it until i can get a more reliable new turb, hopefully a 325i. Which if all goes to plan might hopefully be in a couple months, still in time for summer. Sorry everyone.

ok due to the lack of interest which sadly has happened on here over the past yr or so , used to be lots of monthly meets but no longer, unless its 5 mins down the rd no one is bothered. the gayden show same every yr , santa pod same show every yr , some thing else is needed but to organise a run to brighton would take a lot of planning . the london to brighton run starts at a pacific place , so a run to brighton from where .

or a run to park up in brighton
you would need to speek to brighton council and ask for the parade road to be open and closed of only for the e30 arriving ££££££ pounds you will have to charge an entrance fee as do the london to brighton .

so overall a good idea but lots of planning would need to be done and then getting people to pre pay would be a killer as most peiople would not give a s t and try and turn up if the the sun was out .

I see what you mean. But i wasnt really thinking anything that involved and intense. I was just thinking more a few zoners or anybodys thats interested like mates just having a bit of cruise down to brighton and parking up for a bit and having a bit, having a bit of a chat and meet a few faces and a bit of fish and chips, just like anyone else does on a nice day. Not expecting to pay for the council to shut down half of brighton for a few zoners meeting up on a nice day. I mean it was previously mentioned on this thread just above that maybe cobham services to brighton. I wasnt thinking anything to the scale of the london to brighton. I mean im open to suggestions as to a place to start from. Cobham services seemed like a good idea. Or maybe boxhill, and i think someone also mentioned on here tatenham corner. As you can see from above there was a bit of response and interest before. I rekon a few of could make it happen.
