as title says

looking at these on Ebay last night and trying to work out how much arch work will need to be done to rears to make them fit

they are 8.5J front and 10J rear with ET25.

will rolling in the arch lip be enough, I'm lowered 60mm at min and tbh don't want to go much lower.

they look lush and I'm aware they are reps but good reps

Image

look at that dish

Also new to stretching tyres so what size for a safe stretch but still looks stretched and will help with arch clearance?

You'll need much more than a roll to get those under the arches.

Have a play with that website - it gives you a pretty good idea.

Calibre vintage come in a 17" wheel that fit E30's. Not sure if this is the cheapest price.

The final ET of tthe wheel determines how it sits in the Arch.

On the sizes YOU want

10j rim needs an ET of about 10
9j rim needs an ET of about 15-10
8j im needs an ET of about 20-24

No, fo a 7.5j rim you need it to sit out into the arch, so ideally you need it close to ET 24, same as the HartgeAlpina wheels

so when they say et 35 and 5 mm spacer thats not gonna work?

Et 35 will fit with a 5mm spacer if the wheel is 8.5j, but you will need to roll your rear arches

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/DARE-RS-16-8J ... 43b67a4ce9

I know that they are black, but these are pretty much perfect spec for just an arch roll and some carefully chosen tyres :)

Fronts:
16" x8j wide, offset 25

Rears:
16" x9j wide, offset 20

Fronts might even get away without roll!

215/40 16s on the 9j rears would be stretched a fair bit, but not a stupid amount.

For the 8j fronts - 195/45 16? I don't know for that one. You don't want straight front sidewalls if the rears are stretched - would look a bit silly...

Speak to Matt at Stanced UK, really good guy, and he's an official dealer for a lot of wheel manufacturers including Dare, and will be able to give you sound advice on what will fit.

He's on Facebook, or give him a call 0118 974 5002

The Dare D-RS are a nice choice, in 16x9 16x8 staggered fitment....

Have a look at these, towards the end of the first post...

I'd say that's a pretty good answer :)

Front: 195/40r16
Rear: 205/40r16

Got to be LOW to get away with that small a tyre on the front though!! Arch gap is not cool :P

I'd be tempted by 215 or 205/40 on the rear, 195/45 on the front.

Still trying to make my mind up myself. I've got ET25 8j fronts and et20 9j rears on back order, with 40mm rear drop and 70mm front drop
