Hi guys,

I am looking to get some eibach springs

http://www.raceperformancemodified.com/ ... ng-Springs

But there is a significant difference between the pre-facelift 325i springs and the post facelift? As there is a difference in price but i can't imagine there being much difference in Wieght between the two?

Thanks
polsta

so what your asking is can you put the cheaper pre facelift springs on a post facelift car ?

why not just buy the correct ones, must be a reason why they differ...

The facelifts are quite a bit heavier, I've not found the exact figures yet though!

Different rear springs, pre and post facelift, unless you're towing a trailer in Australia.

Ahh ok, thanks for clearing it up. Thought there must be a difference but thought I'd check, always nice to save some money if possible!

I have to say although the forum is very helpful some posters have a snooty tone lately.

ok so daft question of the day then, wonder why the rear springs are different. To the best of my knowledge there isn't much different in the rear of the e30 between facelift, maybe a larger fuel tank ?? Wonder which ones are the stiffist also??

Post facelift springs are the heaviest, so possibly the stiffest.

The rear end does have a few differences to be fair including more bodywork.

Lower valances, lower rear arch profile then there is a different tail panel etc maybe it all adds up?

Fuel tanks are generally the same 55 or 63L with only a few very early '83 cars having a strange sized/shaped tank
How do you pronounce 'either'? I say 'either', but some say 'either'. Either is correct.
