Hi Guys,

Last night my accelerator cable snapped and frayed away into dust on the floor of my locals car park...

I managed to make a dodgy connection again just to get me home but I need it properly fixed by the weekend.

Not great on the DIY bits and bobs but will always give it a go...

Is it a easy/quick fix? (possible to myself)

And where's the best place to pick up a cable?

Any help will be bootyfull!!

Really easy job to do yourself, as far as I remember all you need is a pair of pliers to squeeze the bulkhead joint together to pull it through.

Best place will be a BMW dealer

About £25 when I ordered mine last summer.

As said, it's an easy job.

GSF supplied my last one, seem to remember being fleeced for about £15.

Fiddly rather than difficult to fit,the hook that fits onto the pedal can be very playful and is a struggle to get to.Try to route the new cable clear of the rocker cover, heat damages the nylon liner and it may save you trapping it between the cylinder head and rocker cover in the future!
