Right guys this needs to get sorted whilst the weathers crap and your E30's are all tucked up in their winter slumber.....

Ideas are needed for a sustainable venue for a Midlands meet, you've all probably got an idea about what kind of venue is required for such an event so get your thinking caps on and come up with some ideas guys.

Venues should in my opinion include:

Adequate parking
Toilets
Eating/drinking facilities
Somewhere to be inside

etc,etc

Obviously permission should also be sought by a potential venue, one of the last Midlands meets i attended did'nt know we were coming and weren't best pleased either.....

Post here and PM Rav too

Mod's can this be stickied please :D :D

I have a venue in mind Paul.
I have suggested it before, plenty of parking, assorted places to eat, drink etc.
Will check out the viability but pretty sure other Marques have held meets there before.

Great Rob, please look into it more mate, let Ravi know too would you, if other Marques use it then good news for us, obviously car friendly.

If anybody can think about venues that other marques use, that could be really helpful, the Midlands is a large area, so meets in different parts of it will be fairer on travel coats for all.

There really should be a proper thread on the zone for this years German Show  I know there is the record attempt one but there is no actual thread for the show itself

Pm'ed you back fella :thumb:

I'm hoping to know in the near future whether or not we can have more 'Weekend at Jimmy's', but i'm currently looking for a new place, so until i've found somewhere, they are postponed

Soon as I do know and if its suitable, we can have as many meets as we want at mine, just depends on if I find somewhere with a few acres

Great, the earlier the better for dates would be good. Don't want to clash with any other meets that may be arranged first.

That would be a popular meet, however no shows cost everybody, remember last time, all that food bought by Rob for expected numbers......

it would have to be a money upfront deal before attendance, to be fair to Rob and all others.

Yep.
Already discussed with Rob.
It is strictly Pay before you turn up.
Simple.
If you don't turn up after paying there's no refunds either.

Always up for the Barn BBQ.

Paul, Rav, here,s where I,m thinking off.

http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?oe=utf-8& ... =0CJIBELYD

Like I said, plenty of parking, pubs, restaurants, plus a really nice spot to walk
a Dog, if anyone feels the need to bring one.
Not sure if permission is needed, being as it,s a leisure park.
About 6 miles from jct 14 of the M1, so easy enough to get to.

This place opened last year, and hold weekly american / hotrod / VW meets, they'd be up for us lot I think. The foods ok, service is friendly and loads of parking there too.

I'm liking this one, already car friendly, worth a call to see if booking is required/dates etc.

Rob, Do you know of any management office/ security office on site, did you also mention other car clubs use this venue?
