Hi all, this one may sound obvious but im trying to think outside of the box here :P

Would it be viable to fit the throttle bodies from an E30 M3 onto the M42 engine in an is?
Or has it been done already?

Maybe with the right manifold they could be made to fit easy enough, or are they just physically too large bore for that size engine, too much flow?
Obviously the fueling would need to be setup etc etc.

Just a thought provoker winkeye

I've got a complete set of throttle bodies with linkages from an E30 M3 if anybody needs them, should be an easy starting point for this conversion, and I think that the E30 M3 engine was as upright as the E30 M42, so should alleviate the need for the CNC angle plate when using the E36 M3 parts and these also have the cut-out for the injector 'firing' angle, also shown is the rubber flange that is used on the E30 M3 S14 engine, and an example adapter for the bolt pattern
