A quick red/black wire modification (see wiki), or pull off the rearmost edge of the door card, locate the two 7mm hex headed screws about half way up, that are just covered by the card and unscrew them. This will release the central locking motor, which appears to be deadlocked, preventing you from pulling up the lock pin. With the motor hanging loose, it will just move up and down with the lock pin.

That won't help in the slightest!
As I've said, just remove the driver's foot well speaker panel and speaker (one screw for the panel and three more for the speaker, find the two red/black wires that go to the back of the door hinge pillar socket, cur them free, then join them together. This will probably bring your locking back into working order.
Door card, in the area you are interested in, is just held by press in studs, but care is needed to lever them out without wrecking the card.

Shiz

Trust me (and Brian)

This change fixes 99% of all central locking issues...

I had similar, spent ages doing all sorts of stuff, last thing I did was the mod and it fixed it.

Save yourself time/effort and do this one first!

get the relay out and open it up and have a look, your thermal trip weld could have gone. I had the same as i heard the clicking which i assumed was the central locking relay working. It was actually the interior light delay relay working and the central locking relay was duff as the termal trip had melted the solder and opened meaning no central lcoking. Quick fix and all was ok

worth checking the door connector plug is properly made and cleaned up also.

ile try takin the relay apart tomorrow. i think ive cut to.many red and black wires lol. however u defimately can hear the clickin noise when u put ur ear to thr relay. would there b a fault with the fuse or battery connection cable. how would u clean thr door plug. thanks
