Ive picked up a Wiesmann in the same colour as my car, very tempted to keep it, I quite like the colour follow through. What do you think?
Or...

Selection of BMW hardtops available, please ask!

The rear pillar on the Wiessman is bit too wide for the red colour coding IMO. But it is nice looking roof. I would actually prefer the Wiessman in a painted gloss black on your car.
These are sensations as hard to forget as they are to ignore.....

The OEM one looks the best IMO. Your Car is uber clean, still the cleanest I've ever seen.

I prefer the red one from most angles, although side-on it looks naff...but then imo the cab looks naff side-on anyway (and I own one

).

the red one looks hideous, looks like some grim 'coachbuilder' coupe conversion for an e30.
i think the oem one would look better if it was a touch darker though to match the rest of the black trim a little better
cheers,
harry

Both look great Paul. But it might be because the cab is red that it looks better with the OEM roof.
Still by far one of the nicest cabs I have seen in the pictures.

the Wiesmann looks gash, it's trying too hard to make your turd look like an E36 !! OEM for me the boxy lines are so much better
ps... nice turd

Very difficult call.
The OEM roof follows the line of the two door saloon, but the Wiesmann follows the line of the erect

cabbie roof...
Perhaps the best compromise is an OEM roof with the covering stripped off and painted to match the car?
Youth is wasted on the young.

This and with the roof rack channels left in black, in keeping with the black bumper trims and rubbing strips etc.
Weismann is too smooth for an angular e30.
But OEM all the way.
Wiesmann looks council to me. Especially with a quilted headlining! Pete what are you thinking you deviant!

I don't know how much the factory one weighs but the Weissman weighs a ton ( comparing it to my e36 factory one ) , also once the seals go on the weismann you're royally screwed. I recon the factory one but as someone else said painted body colour.
There would be an oportunity if someone could glean from Weissman what seals they used and sell an overhaul kit i would imagine, I know you don't see many but the kit wouldn't have to be cheap as everyone would need it in the end and the tops sell for a premium.

OEM from me too.
The Weismann would look a million times better in black on your car. Colour coded roofs only suit dark cars like black or calypso red

The Weismann usually only looks good when when there's more colour coded plastic on show like a M-tech 2 kit......
The kit fattens up the profile of the car to match the Hardtops.
In this case, nice standard body deserves a nice standard OEM hardtop imo....
