I get calls almost daily from companies such as yours. Appreciate everyone has to make a living but in cases where situations and claims are over- inflated, which in my experience is the large majority, all that happens is car insurance costs more for the rest or us.

I run 5 cars, so this outcome hurts me more than others, so I'm totally against this service.

What? If somebody crashes into you and its not your fault why should you pay for financial losses incurred?

Also I'm not looking for ambulance chasers. Thats not anything like what my company does.

Also for people that WERE injured - not everybody is aware that they can claim and that they have 3 years to do so. I dealt with a guy last week who hasnt been able to ride his motorbike for 2 years because of pain in his underarm and thought he couldnt claim because he didnt tell them straight away.

Why should people like that have to deal with pain for an accident that wasnt their fault? Injury is part of what the insurance is for.

I have no idea what you two are talking about to be honest

If and its a big if someone is genuinely injured in an accident I agree they have a right to claim. But if they are too stupid to know this basic principle they shouldn't be allowed out there house, never mind drive a car.

Also it does NOT affect anybodys insurance premiums. The at fault drivers insurance premium would already have been affected. Injury doesnt increase that and neither does uninsured losses.

I got hassled yesterday with this kind of rubbish where a nameless insurance company drummed the line "your back and neck hurt for 6 weeks after the accident from the seatbelt locking when you were bumped forwards".....she stated this three times inspite of me saying "it was fine, really" then asked me to regurgitate this line to a solicitor whom she connected me to....

You're not going to be popular on the Zone with this approach.

"Also it does NOT affect anybodys insurance premiums."

if that was the case, why do insurance companies increase premiums to cover the increased amount of whiplash types claims in recent years. everybody's insurance goes up due to this sort of practice.

as above if someone is genuinely hurt fair enough, but the practice of claiming for phone calls that youv made is pathetic IMO.

Didn't realise I'd have to clear it with mods. This is a website related to problems with cars and this post is car related.

I can see what you guys are all saying but I'm not looking for ambulance chasers. Its mostly related to uninsured losses which most people arent aware they are able to claim back.

At least he won't be on his own the membership list must be fairly long by now
....a long list of people who post about 30 times, try to sell stuff without pictures, location and properly formed sentences before disappearing forever.

As has been said, we have about 3-400 imo...which aint a bad thing at all.

Fuck off u cunt
YoUr the cunts that keep ringing me on my phone
I have no minor discomforts and I don't believe in claiming for something that did t happens
The rear axle of my car is damaged but I couldn't claim for that because I couldn't prove the accident wasn't my fault even though the 3rd party turned into his blind spot without looking
Only got compensation for some minor body work damage
The rear axle to fix that is going to cost me ££££

One of the biggest fails I've seen on here for a long time.

No doubt another example of people being chased off the zone, however, this may do our collective reputation some good for a change.

Eventually it does the rounds and it will effect. If 2 or 3 drivers on the one company are at fault and the " victim " sues the arse out the company, theyr going to have to bump up their premiums for ALL the drivers insured to cover the costs.

You've got the big picture young man. The OP is trying to tell us that although claims increase costs for insurers, it won't affect your own premium if you are claimed against. Perhaps not, but the cost base for the insurer increases, which means premiums rise.

I couldn't get away from receiving an injury payout for my minor(ish) back/shoulder strain - they were super quick in sending me money for that.

Shame they don't wanna pay out a reasonable sum for the car!!!
Still chasing them, 3 months on.

To the OP, does or will your Company promote this kind of claim?

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-northern-ireland-21168310

If not, i,m guessing it won,t be long till they do.
While i,m here, you say no one,s policy would be affected in the event of a claim, so where
will the " £1000-£5000 per passenger/driver GUARANTEED " eventually come from?

Edit, sorry Verde, hadn,t read your post, hen. :)

These kind of companies are what's wrong with the UK and USA
Always looking for compensation this compensation culture
Where compensation is genuinely due fair do
But these companies encourage people to fabricate injuries just so they can get a payout

Exactly. I probably coulda made millions sueing the ass out the legal high company that very nearly killed me and fucking turned my life upside down, but i applied the " shit happens, i was an idiot " logic. People cant accept things anymore. Nothing says sorry like a huge pay out

Can I make a claim if I dreamt I had a crash 7 years ago that REALLY hurt my back and neck for 6 to 8 weeks?

Will my premiums be protected?
