I'm getting hard for this, its in slough

but. Anyone know anything on this?
I like the missus to roll in it. Sell my e36 and get something cheap to abuse and have one nice car. I'd only think about it if its as good as my e36.
Its on pistonheads for £500 less
Its fruited! big spec
What do we think?

Only if it comes from the North of Scotland where they get more snow than central or southern Scotland.

i've been out in 3 of the mentioned cars. The M6 is the one that escapes, i couldn't afford to run any of them properly tbh. None tickle me either really, the e39 is my favourite by a long stretch then the M3. The v10 cars do nothing for me at all.
pony you don't "get" fast estates do you! M's are brash. Pinas, sleek understated. No attention, no dramas.
A black e46 estate is a common sight on out on the roads still.

I quite like the E61 M5 Touring
Rare
Sexy
I can just imagine all the City boys with families having one
I suppose if u kept on long term and couldn't afford not worth buying the above Ms I mentioned
But if u could afford on this basis might be worth it
Buy and run for 6 months
Costs obviously depend on mileage
But as long as all big bills done
Petrol and insurance will be alot
But in 6 months u probably get alot of the capital u paid back
Then do on a rotation basis for all the cars u want
Also these are new enough to have less problems finding a decent one than say a E30 or E24 or maybe E36 etc

It's not Scottish, FG is Nottingham. It'll be one of them 'Synters' cars.
52 plate will be ripe for a pair of front wings and the usual E46 dramas. I'd keep the E36.

everetts hating on e46's now. They can't all be bad, its supposed to be one owner with 125k would seem like it should be a good car i'd say.
Could if its good spell the end for the e36. I'd not want silly money for it.

Needs some TLC but that's a lot of car for £5995.

I like it but WTF are "Formula one gears" ?
Looks good Si - I'm sure you would have it A1 in a couple of weekends.
My E46 went yesterday - no rust drama's anywhere on it - had the arch liners out to wash and waxoyl and it was like new - original supplying dealer was Harry Fairbairn - Glasgow
just too thirsty
Hopefully if you do buy it being an Alpina it won't be as prone to the current freefalling prices other E46's are suffering at present
e30topless said : Proper BMW's have 4 headlights, last of the run was the E30 and E34/E32 anything after that is just complete shite

You say that Rob but the 3.3s seem flat. loads of coupes and cabs not selling and the saloons seem to be struggling to get £3000!
Car market in general is odd at the moment it seems.

Did they do these in a D3 as well or is that just the e90's?
A modern alpina is generally a very good looking car. They usually end up in penniless hands at some point though which can be a real shame.
It would hopefully be much less drama than your B10 as well.

Nice, but ultimately it's an auto - and that makes it a slightly undersized motorway cruiser in my (possibly over critical) eyes. If it was a manual, or a 5 series I'd be more excited.

Its better than a manual, in an overweight estate car
Why anybody would want a big engined touring with a manual gearbox is beyond me..

And you went through the ballache to convert the e36 B3 Si? I know part of that was economy but also because you are a manual man?
My call would be keep the e36 and diss the e46.
Nice car but I just don't think it'll do it for you.

Very nice, I'd definitely roll in that, cog swapping yourself on the daily grind is boring, I love an auto.

it wouldn't be for me, its the wife thats keen on it to punt about in with the baby. I'd have to go back to a cheap turd again and get a go in it on the weekend.
"gareth" the seller on pistonheads is infact a pair asain bruvs. We all know where its heading. I'm curious will rpob take a look saturday but i'm not holding my breath now.
I'd much prefer a B3s wagon tbh. If i myself got one i'd be inclined to hunt down a manual LHD car. Theres a fair few about too looking on mobile.de Shes got the e46 touring m-sport bug now eh rob!!! Going on about 330's!

i think thats really naughty your name is clearly mustafa or Imran and your claiming to be "Gareth" in an advert.
I rang the number off the ebay advert but said id seen it on pistonheads. The guy claimed the car isn't on pistonheads, i said it is, he was quite stern that it wasn't!
So today i rang the pistonheads adverts number and spoke to "Gareth" who was different person to the ebay number.
Theres two adverts with 2 different prices £500 difference, plus two different sets of photos. Couple with the fact its been forsale recently and for a while would make you think it could be a lemon. I've had a tip off from someone on another forum whos been to view but didn't buy. I'd quite like to see how one drives be a tyre kicker.

This is a much better car than the E36, I would say go for it!
