i think too much segregating is not good either. i like flicking through different sections and have picked up useful information sometimes by looking at random threads.....i stopped looking at kindergarten just in case i picked something unexpected up

don't get rid of pub talk. it helped me out a couple of times, recently asking for advice on a damaged courtesy car...zoners are helpful i the first instance and (if anyone remembers a computer game called "elite") "mostly harmless"

Not at all, I like it. The last "update" ruined it, it was slow and unresponsive. Now it has a basic clear layout and is super quick.

To stay on topic, I think updates to the Zone are a good thing and if it enables the sectionilizing of different members tastes all the better.

If there are many subforums to cater for example the drifty and tarmac scraping types as well as OEM Homos, engine conversion nutters, breakers etc etc then all the better.

In essence, what this should achieve is to cater for EVERYONES vastly different taste without the crossover arguements, no longer would there be "How can I weld my Diff" and "Where can I buy an OEM NOS wheel nut" in the same forum. Chances are the two people who ask these type of questions have a very different approach and view of an E30 and clearly would be better off on different subforums.

I think sometimes on here some people have no tolerence for someone else who doesn't have much money and runs an E30 on a budget, a sub forum for "How the hell can I get my MOT on a budget of £25" would be useful, hell, i've done some things that'd make your eyes water to get through an MOT,whilst i'm not saying it should be condoned, constructive advise would be a lot better to help someone on a budget rather than be tarred just as a pennyless tosser. Not everyone has the money to be able to buy OEM parts, pay to have whole new rear quarters fitted etc and have to go down the route of non genuine parts and patching up and rattle cans, they should not be flamed for this.
Whilst the above is a little tongue in cheek, you get my point, a Budget E30 section would be a great help to many people. If you don't run one on a budget you'd have no business being in it and moaning & flaming folks on a budget.

In summary, I really don't think you can have to many sub forums and Steve is right to introduce them, we should be known as the site that caters for everyone and welcomes everyone, and this CAN be achieved by doing the above and keeping like minded people together in their own areas. If someone feels fit to invade a forum and flame people for what they are or aren't doing they should be warned to leave or face a ban ,simple as that.

Me for instance, I can't afford to do engine conversions, Turbo stuff, I have no interest in E36's and I'm not fussed about what goes on in Kindergarten, so as a result I never visit the forums,I've never even clicked on some of them despite being member of the E30Zone for ten years.
They don't interest me so who am I to go in there and start jibber jabbering and annoying people?.

Bring on the new forums Steve, and this should put an end to the dull and frankly tiresome bitching, whining and snobbery that goes on.

I know a lot of people are fed up with posts degenerating into discussions about fucking children, who's fucking Verde at the moment etc etc. It shouldn't have any place in pub talk either.
